Langtang Region Trekking
The Langtang Valley is a beautiful alpine region to the North of Kathmandu bordering Tibet. The Langtang trek offers the greatest diversity with the least effort of Any trek in Nepal. There is a series of north- south running valleys that provide a variety of possible trekking routes. The Gosainkund and Helambu regions lie to its south. The area was designated Nepal's first Himalayan National Park in 1971, it is inhabited by Tamang people whose religious practices, language and dress are similar to those of Tibet than to the traditions of their cousins in the middle hills. Here the high alpine scenery, with mountains visible from inhabited nature of the country makes this an ideal destination for trekkers.
